Evidently, I wanted to do more than just explore these habitats. I also wanted to learn more about them. Therefore I enrolled in the magnet marine science program at my high school where I was one of the top students in my class. I also participated in a program called Maritime Cadets Corp. I've recently graduated that program where I received the Clybourne award, which is the highest award a cadet can receive. To further satisfy my desire to learn about the marine ecosystems, I decided to become a member of a local environmental club known as Young Marine Explorer (YME). I committed three years to YME and was a part of many events and research projects. Upon graduation of the YME high school program, I became the YME intern. During this two year internship program, I've enrolled at Miami Dade College where I'll be pursuing a General Associates Degree. After this has been accomplished I plan to continue my studies and obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology.
Furthermore, with these qualifications in hand, I plan to become a Marine Biologist or join the Royal Bahamas Defense Force. With my qualifications, passion and drive I know that I can achieve anything I put my mind to. I can truly say that I believe, "With God's help and my commitment I will learn, I will succeed."
