The YME COB club e-board kicked off the spring semester with a bang as they promoted the YME club to fellow COB students. The first semester as an official COB club YME will meet every Thursday between 2-4 pm in the G block room 6. Thursdays meetings will engage members in pro-active discussions about the challenges facing the Bahamas and the environment; the pro’s and cons of development; are we as Bahamians demonstrating pro-environmental behavior; and understanding evolution as scientists in a christian nation. This conversations will inspire educational outreach projects such as PSA and other forms of outreach. On the weekends students will be involved in weekend research projects and explorations to the various Bahamian ecosystems such as the mangroves, coral reefs, rocky shores and seagrass meadows. A SCUBA certification program will certify students and carry out monthly dive trips. All interested COB students should attend the Thursday meetings or contact the YME COB president at firstname.lastname@example.org
