YME members learned about the surface and subsurface currents. Ocean currents which vary in size and strength are unidirectional and driven by the wind above the surface of the ocean. The ocean “current” conveyor belt has a direct influence on climate. To help studies learn the different currents found around the world YME took these students back to the days of “ringplay” with an ocean current hand game.
